Sad News from Havana

My wife and I were lucky enough to see Ibrahim and his large Cuban band at Gammage Auditorium (ASU) back in 2003. To get a better understanding of this angelic-voiced, gentle man, rent/buy Buena Vista Social Club; and listen to this.

I’m so sorry to hear. I saw him at Centenial Hall in Tucson. I remember the feeling I had when I looked around and saw people wearing t-shirts with Ibrahim’s face on them. A few years before this concert, he had been shining shoes in Havana.
Godspeed. May he rest in peace.
