I’m off to a local record store today to pick up Magic on vinyl. The CD will be released one week from today.

For a very well written (and spot on) review of Bruce’s new album, check out Ben’s review at A Deeper Shade of Soul.

  1. Opening with the new single… Man, some other ‘classic’ artists could learn a thing or two from Bruce. I’ve seen a show or two at the Convention Hall (it’s right across the street from The Stone Pony) and would have given various body parts to be at that show.

  2. Thundercrack!!!!!!! Has he done it since the mid 70’s live? I always thought some of those early tracks (Thundercrack, Bishop’s Dance, etc) which were never recorded would have worked well with the Seeger Sessions Band.

  3. Oh yeah…is anyone else not able to get onto Jungleland? Has it been shut down? Bummer, I can’t wait to find a torrent of the Convention Hall shows.

  4. Ray….try here if you’re a dime member:

Me, I would just like to see him tighten up the middle of the shows from the last couple of tours. No more 20 minute versions of 10th Avenue…, no more 15 minute Light Of Days. It sounds like he played a nice, compact Badlands, too.

  5. Looks like Dime is down for maintenance but I’ll certainly snatch it as soon as it comes back on line.

BTW Jungleland is not down, came back up this morning.

  6. Is that the USB table? Very nice! How much music have you ripped, er, captured a digital archive into the iMac?

  7. BTW, DrChuck agrees..

He isn’t a Bruce fan either.
