Number 3 and Counting

Garth Brooks loves you

It’s my 3rd wedding anniversary today, so I feel the need to pull out one of my favorite looove songs. Say what you will about Garth Brooks, but I love this song. The song was written and recorded by Bob Dylan on his excellent ‘Time out of Mind’ album. It was soon re-recorded by Mr. Brooks for the ‘Hope Floats’ movie soundtrack.

Dare I say it, I’ll take Garth’s version over the original any day. Sappy, sweet, whatever, but it’s a downright beautiful song. Happy Anniversary babe.

First, let me say Happy Anniversary! It ain’t easy being married. I know from experience, but it can be a beautiful thing. It’s amazing how much we have in common with music. I saw Garth live back in 1995 at the Capital Centre in Landover, MD. To make you feel my love, is a very good tune, that’ll earn lots of brownie points with the MRS. My favorite is The Dance. I don’t know if you remember, but Crystle and I danced to it at my wedding.

hey…this is a fab track..i love Garth’s slow numbers and agree ‘the dance’ is one helluva song. I think he has been maligned a lot coz he went to business college and wore a madonna mike. But i think he has some great material and although i like warbling bob a lot, sometimes a guy who can sing in tune is ok by me. keep rockin along with the marriage and keep it countrrrrry!!! hi from bonnie scotland where all the lads get married in a kilt with i beleive boxer shorts on underneath these days. There were too many complaints of ‘stained and damaged’ kilts being returned to the kilt hire shops so a contract now has to be signed saying that boxers or the like will be worn. Fact is indeed stranger than fiction!!
