The Roots - Rising Up (feat. Wale & Chrisette Michele) (Video)
It’s been a long time since I’ve exclaimed “that’s my JAM” but after hearing this record I did not walk, I ran to get my hands on The Roots latest masterpiece Rising Down. Seriously I’ve had this joint on repeat and I never do that.

Pete, didn’t know you were a fan of “The Legendary Roots Crew”. This LP is taking time to grow on me. Things Fall Apart is still their best IMO.

Justin - I’m not, but Michael is (he wrote the post)…
I still need to dig into their stuff… my buddy Chris is all about the Roots too.

The Roots never fail to please. The album is hot!
They may have surpassed Public Enemy as my favorite hip hop group of all time.

Things Fall Apart is hands down my favorite as well. The new record has a vitality about it that pours through the speakers. As Gonzo said this is a HOT record.

I saw this nice perfomance on Letterman the other night too…

PE was my favorite group. Then, ATCQ. Nowadays, I would have to go with The Roots, even though as good as The Roots are nothing holds up to Midnight Marauders or Low End Theory.

I missed that Letterman performance! That double-time jazz outro was UN-F@#*KING-BELIEVABLE!
